The right gutter protection can help save our planet
As homeowners and as citizens of our beautiful planet Earth, we have decisions to make in the products we choose to purchase. Naturally, with products such as gutter protection, we consider how it works, costs, personal benefits and other factors. Today, consumers are adding to this list the impact of a product on our planet. More consumers than ever are becoming aware of their roles as good stewards of our Earth’s natural resources.
In fact, in a recent study conducted by Green Seal, “Four out of five people say they are still buying green products and services today – which sometimes cost more – even in the midst of a U.S. recession.” Green Seal is an independent non-profit organization that certifies products and services that are greener and healthier, since 1989.
As a company, Leaf Slugger recognizes our responsibilities, too. In the development of our product, we considered two key factors:
1. Gutters, by design, are flawed and need to incorporate a means of accurately diverting all sources of water from rain, snow and ice, as well as block debris
2. Homes have existing gutter systems that are still highly useful and necessary
